What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
When visitors leave use the contact form on the site we collect the data shown in the contact form, and also the visitor’s IP address, browser user agent string, and referrer to help spam detection. The information submitted by the contact form is not sold to 3rd parties or used for marketing purposes.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Store
When you purchase items from our store you are required to submit your first and last name, mailing address, billing address, phone number, and email address. We collect this information so that we can ship products to you, bill you for your purchase, and contact you about your order.
If you use a credit card Stripe (a 3rd party payment service) collects transaction information including payment method information, name, email address, billing address, and shipping address. Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics. Purchase events will send Google Analytics the following information: order number, product id and name, product category, total cost, and quantity of items purchased. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Contact form entries are kept for six months, except for the message itself. Messages are kept because they may be helpful for Thomas Haley’s future artwork.
Analytics records are kept for a year.
Purchase records are kept indefinitely.
3rd party services retain your data according to their privacy policy.
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments or submitted a contact form on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
This does not apply to 3rd party services. Refer to the 3rd party’s privacy policy for your rights over data.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Analytical data is sent to Google Analytics. If you use Stripe, purchase data is sent to Stripe. If you use AmazonPay, purchase data is sent to Amazon Payments.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk associated with the processing of personal data.
